Job Description

Overview Join to apply for the UX/UI Designer role at Carbon Robotics . This position is based at our Seattle headquarters and requires in‑person presence 4 days per week. The role focuses on designing intuitive user interfaces for our advanced robotic solutions while collaborating closely with engineering teams and customers. Base Pay Range $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Company Carbon Robotics develops the LaserWeeder™—an autonomous weed‑control system that uses computer vision, AI, and laser technology to eradicate weeds with sub‑millimeter accuracy, eliminating herbicides and reducing environmental impact. Responsibilities Conduct user research, field studies, and usability testing with growers and field operators to identify needs and pain points, integrating findings into design improvements. Lead the design of both UX and UI components, delivering seamless and visually appealing interfaces across Carbon Robotics’ products. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other team members to create and iterate on user‑centered designs. Assess and recommend design software and tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) for prototypes and final designs. Travel to the field to observe and interact with end users in their actual work environment; willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is required. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer with strong proficiency in design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar). Experience working in agriculture or other field‑based industries, providing insight into unique customer challenges. Previous design experience in robotics, IoT, or physical products that involve field conditions, durability, and real‑world functionality. Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI software design skills and showing the process from user research to final designs.
