Vice President, Financial Consulting

Our proprietary financial analysis and reporting tools provide clients with a deep dive into valuable health plan financial data to help manage costs, identify trends and facilitate better decision making. We are looking for a strategic and experienced leader for this analytics department and to drive our broader financial consulting initiatives. This role will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive and integrated financial solutions to our clients and managing the overall performance of our analytics team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight of our analytics and financial consulting practice, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery of MMA Southwest's financial consulting suite of solutions.
• Manage and collaborate with various teams to:
• Develop and implement parameters to identify the appropriate financial consulting solutions for various target client profiles.
• Evaluate deliverables to determine which can be executed within the region and which should be delegated to the national actuarial team.
• Deliver comprehensive financial reporting that includes analytics, carrier reporting, actuarial reports, strategic forecasting models, renewal analysis, network navigator, pharmacy reporting, and executive summaries as appropriate.
• Manage the overall P&L for all internal and external costs associated with these client deliverables.
• Present to large clients and prospects, showcasing our capabilities and solutions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with production and client service teams to help clients optimize their health plan financial performance.
• Coach and mentor colleagues on effective presentation skills and client engagement strategies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the analytics and financial consulting team.
• Ensure that all analytics and consulting practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Healthcare accounting experience a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of medical group underwriting and/or hands-on risk management related experience.
• Extensive experience in financial consulting and analytics, including industry trends and best practices, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of health plan operations and financial management.
• Strong data management & analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
